SILK Fluegge – österreichische urbane zeitgenössische Tanzkompanie unter der künstlerischen Leitung von Silke Grabinger sucht für neue Projekte in den Jahren 2023/2024, Tänzer:innen aus den Bereichen Zeitgenössischer Tanz, Breakdance und Cirque Nouveau.

Die Proben werden im Herbst 2023 und Anfang 2024 beginnen und über das Jahr verteilt in unseren Räumlichkeiten im SILK KLISCOPE in Linz und in der Ankerbrotfabrik in Wien stattfinden.
Artist in Residence
Our main goal is to support different generations of artists from different genres who work in a context of contemporaneity and interdisciplinarity. These residencies will be granted for projects with the purpose to create and present a piece that is almost in the end-period of creation and will be presented, as a preview.
The space of creation and presentation is the studio SILK KLISCOPE:
Linz, Glimpfingerstr.8, 4020 Linz, Austria
SILK KLISCOPE – interdisciplinary place for dance and art, we offer you a stage, equipped with lighting and sound system, for your artistic work in the fields of dance, performance, visual arts, photography, film, etc. The aim is to promote not only the international scene but also the local independent scene. Hereby we give an advantage to concepts with a hip-hop/contemporary background.
Therefore, we award 2 residencies – one international and one national – in a period from the end of the year 2023 and beginning of 2024:
1.) 12.11.2023 – 03.12.2023 | international residence
2.) 09.12.2023 – 22.12.2023 | national residence
The international residence contains for the artists:
– 3 weeks studio time (max. 6h per day)
– accommodation for 2 people
– mentoring of the development process if requested
– production support if agreed
– travel allowance of up to 400 euros
– a production fee of 1500 euros
– at the end a preview at KLISCOPE
– format for one workshop or one lecture for the local scene
The national residence contains for the artists:
– 2 weeks studio time (max. 6h per day)
– accommodation for 2 people
– mentoring of the development process if requested
– production support if agreed
– travel allowance of up to 100 euros
– a production fee of 1500 euros
– at the end a preview at KLISCOPE
– format for one workshop or one lecture for the local scene
APPLICATION & SELECTION
To submit your application for the SILK KLISCOPE residence, please send the following requested material by the 15th of September to: air.silkkliscope@gmail.com
❏ Artistic project for which you are submitting your application and possible video footage of any possible previous steps
❏ CV of the artist submitting the participation application
❏ CV of all artists involved
❏ Link to at least one previous work (both promo and full video)
SILK KLISCOPE will give notice of the selection by the 06th of October 2023.
Selected artists need to confirm their participation by the 13th of October 2022.
