RED NOSES bring humour and laughter to people in need of joy in 11 countries. Providing a wide range
of artistic programmes and formats, RED NOSES is the biggest Healthcare Clowning organisation
worldwide reaching out to hospitalised children, senior citizens, medical staff, aid workers, refugees, as
well as children and youth with disabilities. To ensure the future growth of our programmes we must
have proper systems in place to recruit new artists and train already engaged healthcare clowns to
maintain and further develop our high artistic quality.

Currently, the following position is vacant in our team:
Head of International Artistic Department (f/m/d)

Position summary

We are seeking a creative, inspiring and motivated Head of International Artistic Department to help
solidify and develop the artistic structures and quality management systems in RED NOSES. Working
closely with the International Artistic Director, the Executive Management, the other Head of
Departments and our 11 country offices you will play a leading role in further growing the RED NOSES
artistic quality. Your work will ensure that we deliver against key targets in our Strategy 2025 and that
RED NOSES continue to thrive and to grow and anchor our work in the healthcare and humanitarian aid

Your tasks

  • Analyze, develop and reinforce sustainable artistic quality management systems for the RN
  • Analyze best practices and create synergies between the Artistic Leadership in the RN group and
    their departments
  • Monitor the practicality and applicability of artistic quality management systems, including the
    Artistic Criteria
  • Cooperation with the International Artistic Director to discuss artistic quality issues and find
  • Ensure smooth and effective implementation of the artistic education
    Make the yearly budget and planning for the International Artistic Department
  • Organize and structure the existing department to ensure effective and joyful work
  • Liaise with other Head of Departments to support their work
  • Vienna based (work permission) candidates are preferred but not a requirement. However, a
    suitable candidate should be willing and able to work from Vienna, attend meetings etc. on a
    regular basis

Position details

  •  38,50 hours/week

  • Reports to the RNI International Artistic Director
  • Travel is required, depending on developing safety regulations

The wage for this position is minimum EUR 44.100,00 gross per annum (for 38,50 hours per week), overpay
depending on experience and qualification of the candidate.
